You know that thing I said about it feeling autumnal? Well, disregard, because it’s been dang H to the O to the T around here. Hooves crossed for some cooler days around this year’s Bovine.
If it’s anything like the last two years, we’ll all be huddling together for warmth in 32-degree weather the morning of and then kicking it all “sun’s out, guns out” style at the finish-line party.
First things first, our pal Lisa Hunt made a plea for Ride With GPS versions of this year’s route. Lisa asks, we deliver. Here ya go:
Look for the large arrows that are staked into the ground. We don’t use those adhesive ground arrows for course marking.
It’s quite an effort to corral this shindig in Bovine style. If you know anyone who gets some kicks volunteering, please send ‘em HERE.
We’re looking for the following roles: SAG drivers, aid station staff, festival hospitality, safety flaggers.
Every volunteer who works 4 hours gets a 2024 Bovine tee, Bovine water bottle, lunch, and a discount on next year’s entry. SAG drivers also receive a gas stipend.
We’ve gotten a little too big for our Atascadero britches. Taking over a local pub is no longer an option.
Packet pick-up will be in Sunken Gardens from 2 PM to 6 PM. It’s the same location as Saturday’s start and finish.
